New York, NY  — October 8, 2019 —Thunder11, a New York City-based, C-level communications firm, was recognized as “Boutique PR Firm of the Year” at PR News’ Platinum PR Awards ceremony along with winners such as USPS, T-Mobile and The Girl Scouts of the USA. Since its founding in 2007, the firm has made its name by combining non-conventional and smart thinking with relentless execution for a wide-range of clients over the decades, from The Council of Foreign Relations to AT&T, Northwell Health, Sprint, 1stdibs and dozens of VC-backed start-ups.

This recognition comes after one of the firm’s most successful years to date, with highlights including: executing a press conference with local lawmakers to mark a client’s expansion to the U.S. market, landing client’s thought leadership pieces and stories in top-tier publications, applying and winning dozens of awards for clients, and curating panels and securing speaking opportunities for clients at some of the world’s most sought-after international conferences.

I’m thankful for our dedicated team of relentless communicators, and for our clients, whose world-changing stories we have the pleasure of telling.”

While still a boutique firm, Thunder11 has grown its team, bringing on Ryan Birchmeier, a former spokesperson for the New York City Economic Development Corporation, Alyssa Meyer, a former TV journalist and has done internal communications for healthcare systems, Joe Grochmal, a recent Harvard graduate and a member of the inaugural Lead for America Hometown Fellows cohort, Sujin Lee, a former digital ad operations manager, and  Dan Perry, the former Middle East Editor of the Associated Press who also previously led the news agency in Europe, Africa and the Caribbean.
